The BeWells are the brother-sister duo of Andy (vocals and instruments) and Lindsay (vocals) when possible or otherwise record as a one-man band. Things officially kicked off in December of 2004, shortly after discovering SongFight!
You can also catch us online at MySpace.com. Be sure to stop by songfight.org to check out the SongFight! site and online community of songwriters and performers. We try to participate regularly even if not quite as often as we would like.
It's a New Year
January 14, 2008
An update is long overdue, so here is a recap of last year and something new. Songs and details can be found on the songs page. 2007 brought two official fight entries ("Couldn't Have Been Worse" and "And Counting"), one unsubmitted demo, five Nur Ein songs, and two demo covers ("Rock Salt and Nails" and "Here Comes the Sun"). With the arrival of the new year comes our first entry into the traditional SongFight! Gift of Music (or GOM). Our cover of "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" (by Neutral Milk Hotel) was finished this past weekend and is now online.
More Nur Ein
May 30, 2007
We are still in the middle of the Nur Ein sidefight competition over at SongFight! There have been two more songs submitted since the last update, Brownie Points and State of Emergency. The results will be announced tomorrow as the field of contestants is whittled down to eleven.
Almost Forgotten
May 11, 2007
I was thinking about changing the front page in some way months ago. And then I never did anything about it. There are not any changes yet, but it is about time a quick update was added to point out a few new songs and such. The songs page finally has some information on it. Most of the new stuff can be found through the links there. There has only been one official SongFight! entry, Couldn't Have Been Worse, since the last update. One other song, Ten Lies, made it as far as a demo but was not submitted.
In other news the Nur Ein II competition is underway over at SongFight! I made it through to the first round with Let Me In and we are awaiting word tomorrow on the decision from the judges for Sister Cocaine to see who will advance into the second round.
While I am at it (and who knows when the next update will be), my sister and I are planning to attend and perform at SongFight! Live this year in Atlanta (August 16-18). More details should follow as the event draws near.
